HB 904 Financial Assistance and Review Committee; emergency services.
Introduced by: Robert D. Orrock, Sr. | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Financial Assistance and Review Committee. Establishes the Financial Assistance and Review Committee (FARC) in statute, and provides that the Committee will consist of six members, representative of the regions encompassed by the eight regional emergency medical services councils to be appointed by the State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board. The FARC is required to administer the Rescue Squad Assistance Fund, review grant applications of eligible emergency medical services agencies, and make recommendations for funding such grant applications to the Commissioner of Health. The FARC must also report biannually, after each funding cycle, the number of grant applications received, the total costs of grants funded, and the number of grants denied funding, and the reasons for denying funding. This is emergency legislation.
