SUMMARY:

Medical Assistance Services; protection of patients in nursing homes. Authorizes the Department of Medical Assistance Services to seek remedies and civil penalties against those nursing homes which exhibit a pattern of failure to meet ongoing financial obligations, such as inability to pay for essential food, pharmaceuticals, personnel or insurance.
