SUMMARY:
Educational programs for institutional governing boards. Directs the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) to develop educational programs for the governing boards of public institutions of higher education. New members of the governing boards may participate in these programs, which are to address the role, duties, and responsibilities of the governing boards and may include in-service training on current issues in higher education. In developing the programs, SCHEV may draw on similar educational programs in other states.
