SUMMARY:
Licensure of facilities; treatment of hemophiliacs; clotting factors. Requires all facilities licensed by the Board, pursuant to this article, which provide active treatment or care for hemophiliacs in a specialized clinic or program and, in the course of such treatment, stock clotting factors, to maintain an adequate supply of such clotting factors in order that, in the event a hemophiliac patient is hospitalized with bleeding and must have a clotting factor, the hemophiliac patient will receive an appropriate standard of care. Failure to so stock clotting factors when actively treating hemophiliacs through a specialized clinic or program will be reported to the licensure administration with the Department of Health.
