1996 SESSION
HB 717 Voluntary environmental assessment.
Introduced by: Clarence E. Phillips | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Voluntary environmental assessment. Requires that any voluntary environmental assessment include a plan for taking corrective action for any incident of noncompliance. The bill also narrows the definition of "document" to information generated primarily for the environmental assessment. The provision which states that a person involved in the preparation of the document cannot be compelled to disclose its contents has been removed. Finally, the privilege that prevents the document from being admitted as evidence in a judicial or administrative proceeding will not apply when there has been a failure to promptly correct any noncompliance discovered during the assessment.
