SUMMARY:
Appointment of tie breakers for board of supervisors. Requires the circuit court to appoint a tie breaker to serve temporarily if the governing body has not taken appropriate action to designate a tie breaker. The pro tempore tie breaker serves until a tie breaker can be elected at the next November election. This bill has an emergency clause and becomes effective upon passage.
