SUMMARY:
School boards; criminal history checks of new employees. Authorizes all school boards to fingerprint all prospective employees, part-time and full-time, and to submit the fingerprints to the Central Criminal Records Exchange of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to obtain criminal history record information. No local appropriations or school board expenditures are required; the applicant may be required to pay for the criminal history check. Local school boards may, however, pay for the criminal history records check, with such funds as may be available for this purpose.
