Introduced by: Harvey B. Morgan | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Drug Control Act. Provides that prescription forms from out of state practitioners do not have to comply with the format required by Virginia law. The bill adds a definition of "prescriber" which is substituted for "practitioner" in certain places. The controlled substances schedules are updated by incorporating recent inclusions by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The bill also changes from "delete" to "deschedule" the Board of Pharmacy's authority to revise schedules of controlled substances.
