SUMMARY:

Controlled substances. Provides that licensed practitioners of medicine, osteopathy, podiatry, dentistry, or veterinary medicine no longer have to obtain a controlled substances registration certificate from the Board of Pharmacy. The controlled substances registration certificate duplicates the required federal registration from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. The bill provides that if the license of such a licensee or a licensed pharmacist is suspended or revoked by the issuing board, all controlled substances owned or possessed by the licensee may be placed under seal.
