SUMMARY:
Primary elections; voter registration by political party. Adds party affiliation to the information that an applicant is asked to provide when registering to vote. The applicant may indicate that he is not affiliated with a party. The bill provides that members of the party and unaffiliated or independent voters may vote in the party primary unless the political party closes the primary by giving notice that only members of the political party may participate in the party primary.
