SUMMARY:
Public Procurement Act; AFDC recipients. Provides that state contracts in excess of $200,000 shall require the contractor to give priority consideration in filling vacancies in positions funded by the contract, to Virginia recipients of aid to families with dependent children. The AFDC recipient must possess the skills necessary to perform the work required by the contract. The Department of General Services, with the advice of the Department of Social Services is required to promulgate regulations to implement this provision.
