SUMMARY:
Aid to families with dependent children. Provides that prior to imposing a sanction of AFDC benefits for failure to comply with compulsory school attendance laws, the local department of social services must make reasonable efforts to discuss with the parent, by personal contact, which may include direct telephone contact, a plan to return the child to school. If unable to contact the parent a notice will be sent to the parent advising of the possible loss of benefits.
