SUMMARY:

Accident and sickness insurance; utilization review. Excludes from the definition of "utilization review" determinations by insurers concerning the necessity of services for personal injury, property damage, workers' compensation and employers' liability, motor vehicle, aircraft, marine, homeowners, farm owners, commercial multiperil, and other insurance against similar losses, damages or liabilities. The bill removes such determinations from the operation of insurance statutes governing utilization review.
