SUMMARY:

Elections; required use of mechanical or electronic voting equipment. Provides that certain small counties (Rappahannock) may continue to use paper ballots throughout the county notwithstanding the generally applicable requirement to provide voting equipment for precincts containing 750 or more registered voters. The county must meet the following criteria: a population less than 7,000; six precincts; 1,000 or fewer registered voters in every precinct; and no past use of such voting equipment.
