SUMMARY:
Underground storage tank security interest exemption. Exempts those who hold indicia of ownership in an underground storage tank primarily to protect a security interest and who also do not participate in the management of the tank and are not otherwise engaged in petroleum production, refining or marketing from liability under the state's underground storage tank law. Those who may avail themselves of this exemption are allowed access to the Petroleum Storage Tank Fund for cost of clean up in excess of $5,000 up to $1,000,000.
