SUMMARY:
Prisons; correctional stores. Eliminates the requirement that profits from correctional stores be used within the institution where generated and allows the Director of the Department of Corrections to pool all such moneys to use in such ways as are determined to be appropriate for educational, recreational or other purposes beneficial to the inmates. The reference to "net" profits when referring to such funds is deleted.
This bill is identical to SB 227.
