SUMMARY:

Public service companies; electrical utility facilities; economic considerations. Permits the Virginia State Corporation Commission to consider the effect of constructing a proposed electrical utility facility on economic development within the Commonwealth. The bill would also require the Commission to consider improvements in service reliability that would result from the construction of such facility.
