SUMMARY:
Virginia taxable income of residents; deduction for Bosnia military service pay. Beginning in taxable year 1995, a deduction in computing Virginia taxable income of residents is allowed for military service pay and allowances earned while serving in or above the former Yugoslavia in Operation JOINT ENDEAVOR as part of the NATO Peace Keeping Force. Such deduction shall be allowed for pay received until the taxpayer completes such service. In addition, extensions for filing the tax returns and provisions for estimated tax payments, penalty, interest and additions to tax, as well as enforcement provisions are included.
