SUMMARY:
Period of discovery and the statute of limitations for violations of the Building Code. Requires prosecutions for Building Code violations to be brought within one year of discovery of the offense (currently two years), but in no event more than two years (currently one year) of initial occupancy or use. The bill specifically states that the one year of discovery limitation applies to violations involving existing buildings or structures.
