HB 339 Workers' compensation; selection of treating physician.
Introduced by: A. Donald McEachin | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Workers' compensation; selection of treating physician. Authorizes injured employees to select their employers' managed care networks as their "treating physicians" under the Workers' Compensation Act whenever employers utilize a managed care network in providing general health care coverage to their employees. The three-physician panel currently in the law is retained, and an employee could elect to obtain his treating physician through the panel even if the employer uses a managed care network for general health care coverage.
