SUMMARY:

Involuntary detention and commitment. Permits the examiner of the person who is the subject of the hearing to be an employee of the admitting or detaining hospital if the hospital is an individual association or corporation not organized or incorporated for pecuniary profit or financial gain or is a tax exempt organization or association. Current law prohibits employees of the admitting or detaining hospital, except for employees of state hospitals, from conducting the examination.
