SUMMARY:

Employment of teachers. Directs school boards to adopt employment policies and practices designed to promote the employment and retention of the highest quality instructional personnel and to effectively serve the educational needs of students. This bill amends the section relating to employment and placement of teachers; however, this provision does not, in any way, remove the conditions applying to continuing contract status (tenure).
