HB 291 Child abuse and neglect; protective services.
Introduced by: David G. Brickley | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Child abuse and neglect. Requires local departments of social services to use reasonable diligence to locate the child and persons who are the subject of an open child protective services case or one that is under investigation, if the whereabouts of such persons are unknown to the local department. The bill also requires that the local department notify the child protective services agency in the jurisdiction to which such persons have relocated, and forward to such agency relevant portions of the case record. Local departments that receive information that a family has relocated within its jurisdiction are required to assist the original local department in completing any incomplete investigation and arranging protective and rehabilitative services.
