Introduced by: James M. Shuler | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Pet cemeteries. Requires owners of land used as a pet cemetery to file a declaration restricting the use of the land to use as a pet cemetery. The restriction on the use of the land may be removed by a circuit court upon proof of consent by the persons who have had pets buried there. The bill also requires operators of pet cemeteries to establish a perpetual care fund to be used for the maintenance of the cemetery. Operators of new cemeteries must initially deposit $12,000 into the fund.
