SUMMARY:
Being a prostitute or prostitution; penalties. Increases the penalty for prostitution from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 6 felony and increases the penalty for solicitation from a Class 1 misdemeanor to a Class 1 misdemeanor with a mandatory, minimum 60 days in jail and a 1-year driver's license suspension. This bill also creates a new subsection for committing prostitution or solicitation of prostitution after testing positive for HIV, punishable as a Class 5 felony.
