SUMMARY:
Filling county board vacancy under county manager plan. Changes the method of filling vacancies on the county board to conform to general law provisions. A vacancy will be filled by special election, held on the November general election date, but the remaining members of the county board will make an interim appointment until the special election. Presently, a special election must be held within 45 to 60 days of the vacancy occurring and there is no provision for filling the vacancy during the interim.
