SUMMARY:
Prohibition on taking sponge crabs. Prohibits the taking of female crabs showing an egg mass ("sponge crab") from July 15 through August 15. The sale to, and purchase by, bulk commercial purchasers of female crabs from which the egg-carrying portion of the crab has been removed is also prohibited during this period.
