SUMMARY:
Governing bodies; qualification for office. Provides that members of local governing bodies may qualify for office up to and including the day of the initial meeting of a new governing body or elected school board. The bill applies to members of local governing bodies and elected school boards elected to terms of office beginning on or after January 1, 1996.
