1996 SESSION
HB 1444 Board of Medicine; expert witnesses.
Introduced by: Robert S. Bloxom | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Board of Medicine; expert witnesses. Removes the mandate that expert witnesses used in disciplinary proceedings come from lists provided by appropriate professional societies. Current workload and many professional societies' failure to respond when lists are requested do not promote the expeditious review of complaints. This change would also allow a wider pool of potential experts who may not belong to a particular society.
