SUMMARY:
Health insurance for former state employees. Allows former heads of state agencies who were involuntarily separated from state service after at least 20 years of service to obtain coverage under the state's health insurance program when they take retirement. Currently, such former employees may take retirement at age 55 without a reduction in benefits, but may not participate in the state health insurance program if they did not take retirement immediately upon their separation from service.
