SUMMARY:
Commercial Real Estate Broker's Lien Act. Increases the maximum amount of a broker's lien on the rent of commercial real estate from 5 to 20 years' rent due. The bill also provides that (i) once properly recorded, a broker's lien has priority over all liens recorded subsequent thereto and (ii) nothing shall be construed to prevent a subsequent purchaser of commercial real estate subject to a broker's lien from establishing an escrow fund at settlement sufficient to satisfy the lien.
