SUMMARY:
Unauthorized practice of law. Grants a person aggrieved by another's unauthorized practice of law the ability to recover civil damages and obtain injunctive relief. "Aggrieved person" includes any attorney practicing in the locality where the offense occurred. In addition to actual damages, the plaintiff may recover three times the amount of fees collected by the non-attorney and a successful party in the civil case is allowed to recover costs and reasonable attorney's fees.
