SUMMARY:
Juvenile court hearings. Provides that the public shall not be excluded from juvenile (family) court hearings involving possible violations of the law unless the judge finds that (i) the matter is not one of public interest, (ii) one of the parties is a juvenile, and (iii) maintaining confidentiality furthers certain goals of the juvenile system. The family court shall not exclude the public in certain enumerated domestic relations cases (e.g., divorce, annulment, change of name, etc.).
