SUMMARY:
Woodrow Wilson Bridge and Tunnel Compact. Establishes, by compact with Maryland and the District of Columbia, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and Tunnel Authority for the purposes of financing and operating a long-term rehabilitation or reconstruction of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge or construction of a new bridge, bridges or tunnel to replace the existing Bridge. Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia must reach agreement with the United States Secretary of Transportation for the transfer of ownership of the existing Bridge from the federal government to the Authority and for federal funding for the project before the Authority undertakes the duties or responsibilities set out in the compact.
