Introduced by: Allen W. Dudley | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Revocation of boating privilege. Reduces the criminal penalty to a Class 2 misdemeanor for operating a watercraft or motor boat when a person's operating privileges have been revoked under the drunk boating law. Currently the penalty is a Class 1 misdemeanor. The change conforms the law to the DUI law. The bill also adds a provision reiterating the authority to make a warrantless arrest for this offense. In addition, the bill makes it illegal to willfully and intentionally impede lawful fishing. This is emergency legislation.
