SUMMARY:

Virginia Retirement System; retirement benefits of regional jail administrators. Requires administrators of regional jail authorities constituted pursuant to Article 3.1 (§ 53.1-95.2 et seq.) or 5 (§ 53.1-105 et seq.) of Chapter 3 of Title 53.1 to receive the same retirement benefits as sheriffs, who receive benefits equivalent to those provided to state police officers in the State Police Officers' Retirement System.
