HB 1059 Regulation of burning.

SUMMARY:

Regulation of burning and fire prevention. Removes an exemption for railroad companies, in their rights-of-way, from prohibitions on burning wood, brush, leaves and the like in an area organized for fire control by the State Forester. A new exemption is added for federal lands as is an exemption for the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF), between February 15 and March 1, on lands owned by DGIF. Changes from March 1 through May 15 to February 15 through April 30 the period when certain fires are illegal in areas organized for fire control by the State Forester.
