1996 SESSION
HB 1035 Optometry; use of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents.
Introduced by: John S. Reid | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Optometry. Redefines the practice of optometry to include the use of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents and requires the optometry exam to include the use of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents. Persons licensed on or before June 30, 1997, but not certified to administer diagnostic pharmaceutical agents must take the expanded exam in order to administer diagnostic pharmaceutical agents. The bill allows the Board of Optometry to accept the results of a national examination rather than administer a diagnostic pharmaceutical agent exam itself.
