SUMMARY:

Boiler and pressure vessel safety; contract fee inspectors. Requires contract fee inspectors to maintain evidence of financial responsibility for bodily injury and property damage relating to the inspector's negligent inspection or recommendation for certification of a boiler or pressure vessel. The bill defines "contract fee inspector" as any certified boiler inspector contracted to inspect boilers or pressure vessels on an independent basis by the owner or operator of the boiler or pressure vessel.
