SUMMARY:

Individual health insurance coverage. Requires individual insurance policies, contracts and plans to provide for the renewability of coverage at the sole option of the insured or policyholder, except as otherwise provided in the bill. The bill also requests the Joint Commission on Health Care, in cooperation with the Bureau of Insurance, to study additional reforms in the individual health insurance market.
