1996 SESSION
HB 1025 Juveniles; payment for private residential placement.
Introduced by: Joyce K. Crouch | all patrons ... notes | add to my profiles
SUMMARY:
Juveniles; payment for private residential placement. Allows the Department of Youth and Family Services to pay directly for the cost of private residential placement for juveniles if such funds are appropriated to the Department. Currently, placement is paid for through the state funds pool under the Comprehensive Services Act, but such funds have proven insufficient. This would merely add the authority of the Department to pay for placement in addition to the CSA appropriations.
This bill is identical to SB 508.
