WHEREAS, the golf team from Stonewall Jackson High School, in the Shenandoah County community of Mount Jackson, won the 1995 Virginia High School League Group A state championship; and
WHEREAS, the team, led by Coach Brownie B. Ritenour, finished the 1995 regular season with a sparkling 13-2 record; and
WHEREAS, the golfers from Stonewall Jackson also won the Bull Run District championship and the Region B championship on their way to the state title; and
WHEREAS, the Stonewall Jackson team, comprised of Greg Alger, A. J. Beavers, Chris Carson, Troy Copenhaver, Ryan Locher, Chris Looman, Chris Maguigan, Rhodes Ritenour, Adam Seal, Chris Wean, and John Weissenborn, brought honor and recognition to themselves, Stonewall Jackson High School, and the Mount Jackson community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly salute the Stonewall Jackson High School golf team on its championship season; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Coach Brownie B. Ritenour in honor of the outstanding performance of the Stonewall Jackson High School golf team.
