Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 63.1-105.8 as follows:

§ 63.1-105.8. Parents of minor parents whose child receives aid to families with dependent children; support obligations of parents and grandparents.

The parents of a minor parent whose child receives aid to families with dependent children shall be deemed to be responsible parties for the support of their grandchild. The State Board shall promulgate regulations, as necessary, to implement the provisions of this section. Child support shall be collected as provided in Chapter 13 (§ 63.1-249 et seq.) of this title.
