1996 SESSION
WHEREAS, the American free enterprise system forms the very basis of the economic prosperity of the United States and the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, promoting the free enterprise system contributes to Virginia's successful economic development efforts and to the continued economic health of the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Students in Free Enterprise, a national organization, and the Ferrum College Chapter of Students in Free Enterprise continually promote free enterprise and its benefits to the economies of Franklin County and the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the citizens of Virginia be reminded of the central role played by free enterprise in the economic prosperity and freedom they enjoy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the week of March 17-23, 1996, be designated as Free Enterprise Week in Franklin County; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Ferrum College Chapter of Students in Free Enterprise in honor of its worthy and successful efforts to promote the free enterprise system.
