Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 2.1-345 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 2.1-345. Public bodies to which chapter inapplicable.

The provisions of this chapter shall not be applicable to the Virginia Parole Board, petit juries, grand juries, family assessment and planning teams established pursuant to § 2.1-753, and the Virginia State Crime Commission. However, information from the Virginia Parole Board providing the number of inmates considered by the Parole Board for discretionary parole, the number of inmates granted or denied parole, and the number of parolees returned to the custody of the Department of Corrections solely as a result of a determination by the Board of a violation of parole, shall be open to inspection and [ releasable available for release ] , on a monthly basis, as provided in § 2.1-342. Such information shall be furnished by offense categories, sex, race and , age of the inmates, and the locality in which the conviction was obtained, upon the request of the party seeking the information.
