Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 54.1-202.1 as follows:

§ 54.1-202.1. Late charges for license renewals; reinstatement.

Late charges assessed by any regulatory board for the renewal or reinstatement of any license, certificate or registration shall be limited to twenty-five dollars or ten percent of the initial license, certificate or registration fee, whichever is greater.
