Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 16.1-291.1 as follows:

§ 16.1-291.1. Providing Departmental records of juveniles on probation to local police departments.

In the case of a juvenile committed to the Department, upon the release of a juvenile on terms and conditions, the Department shall provide to the police department in the locality where the juvenile resides, or to the sheriff in the case of any locality that does not have a police department, notice of the juvenile's release and of the terms and conditions of the release.
