HOUSE BILL NO. 1297 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the House Committee on General Laws on February 10, 1996) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Delegate McEachin) A BILL to allow the City of Richmond to sell its cemeteries.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, general or special, the City of Richmond may sell any cemetery owned by it, provided the City, as a condition of any such sale, shall require the purchaser to comply with the requirements of Article 3.2 (§ 57-35.11 et seq.) of Chapter 3 of Title 57.
