Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 16.1-264.1 as follows:

§ 16.1-264.1. Delinquency proceedings; discovery allowed.

In any proceeding in which a juvenile is alleged to be delinquent, the attorney for the Commonwealth shall have a [ continuing duty to adequately and fully duty to ] provide discovery as provided under Rule 7C:5 of the Rules of the Supreme Court for criminal prosecutions in the general district courts.
