1. That § 19.2-305.3 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 19.2-305.3 Day fines; definition.
The On and after July 1, 1997, the court, when imposing a
fine pursuant to §§ 18.2-10 and §

The provisions of this section shall expire on July 1, 2001.
